Ocean Tides Travels to Historic Washington D.C. for 10th Annual Trip

For over 10 years, students, administrators, teachers and staff from Ocean Tides have traveled by bus in the spring to Washington D.C. The trip is connected to their present courses in US. History. This year 70 Ocean Tides staff and students visited the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial and FDR Memorial. Students also had their pictures taken at the Capitol and toured the U.S. Supreme Court. Visits were planned to Arlington Cemetery, the Smithsonian Institutes (Air & Space and Natural History) as well as the National Zoo.

One can plainly see between travel and a full historical agenda, this is an adventure these young men will not soon forget. They stayed at the Best Western in College Park Maryland and enjoyed lunch each day at the newly built Union Station next to the Capitol.
