Extensions

The Extensions provide a youngster with the opportunity to return to the community, while still a part of the Ocean Tides Program. There are two Extension houses in the greater Providence area, Gallogly House and Hillside House. Pullman House is located in Cranston and Wagner House is located in West Warwick. While in an extension house, youngsters attend the Ocean Tides School, a vocational school, or the Community College of Rhode Island. It is the responsibility of this component of the program to strive to create a warm atmosphere where the youngsters will grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally. This component of the program makes every effort to ensure that the extension houses reflect a warm and family-like atmosphere and that meaningful community experiences are provided for the young men living in them.
