About Our Program at Narragansett

The residential program provides each young man at Ocean Tides with the structure and support needed for daily living, as well as counseling, mentoring, and guidance to develop positive and appropriate peer to adult relationships. Opportunities to learn and participate in enrichment activities are also provided, along with nursing and health care providers.

Beyond direct supervision of youth, our residential counselors are here to provide support in life skills. A registered nurse oversees the health care needs of each young man at Ocean Tides and works closely with health care providers to ensure continuity of care. Youth entering Ocean Tides receive an initial evaluation session with a licensed psychiatrist, follow-up care and support provided as needed, and scheduled appointments for review of progress and medication management as needed.
