Your Support Makes a Difference…
As we enter the spring, we are invited to witness the changes of the world around us. After a long winter, there is a new sense of opportunity with each bulb emerging and tree budding. The sun nourishes and heals, and we aim to mimic this growth in reflections of our own lives. Our environment has a profound impact on our own tides of change.
Like the butterfly in its many stages of growth, the young men here at Ocean Tides endure a similar growth cycle. This time in their lives is a coming-of-age story, a search for autonomy, comfortability, self-worth, security, and growth. The space and area in which these things flourish is the foundation for this change.
Ocean Tides and our supporters are part of our youths’ coming-of-age story, and it would not be possible without our physical space to nurture these key milestones. Research supports the impact of our environment on mental health and how we see ourselves.
This is why we ask you to support our 2024 fundraising endeavors to create, develop, and invest in the facilities that are at the very root of growth. Just as our environment provides a space for growth, our facilities at Ocean Tides are also that for the young men entrusted in our care. Necessary updates for the classrooms and dorms are another opportunity for us to support the self-efficacy of these young men. This upgrade of the youth’s physical spaces will ensure our commitment to them, their growth, and their ultimate chance at making powerful and meaningful changes in their lives.
About the Event…
Start the evening with a complimentary glass of champagne to toast the many achievements of our staff, educators, and most especially the young men we serve at Ocean Tides.
The fundraiser benefit continues with a taste of the ocean … an oyster raw bar selection from our sponsor Matunuck Oyster Bar, and partnered with our fabulous local oyster farms and vendors. You can’t beat living in the Ocean State.
