New Opportunity for OT Students-Expressive Arts Group

Written Expression, Verbal Expression, Music, Visual Expression, Movement…. all ways for our young men to share what is on their mind and what they are feeling with others.  Residential Counselors Nick and Dunston started a weekly evening group for some of our residents.  Starting with exploring poetry and written expression, they  moved through the various forms of expressions. They share in the group through various projects while also keeping a journal about the experiences. The first group completed their six week session by creating spray paint art murals that will be hung in the student dining room.  The group is offered through Ocean Tides expanding Programs and Activities efforts lead by Elana Levizon, Director of Programs and Activities.

2017 Fall Open House

OTS students created the ghoulish centerpiece for the open house.

Ocean Tides Annual Fall Open House and Reception was held Friday October 20th, 2017 hosted here at the school and Christian Brothers Center, Narragansett, RI.

In addition to carving stations, hors d’oeuvres were prepared and served by Culinary Arts students, showcasing some of the skills they are learning in the OTS program. Guests had the opportunity to win various raffles and door prizes, including holiday wreaths made by our Horticulture students.
Thanks to staff and faculty who supported students to make the event a success, and to all of our many guests who  joined us for the fall festivities.
We look forward to seeing you and Ocean Tides’ Hall of Fame Dinner, Memorial Day weekend, 2018!
